Spring is finally here!

Like my poor neglected blog, I seem to have been in hibernation for the last few months. Luckily spring is finally here! I'm looking forward to warmer days though I'm sure it won't be long before everyone is complaining that it's too hot!

Best Friends

Recently I got together with a local photographer friend, Jenny Ruddle. It just so happened that on that day a package arrived with some new camera equipment so we had to try it out.

This was one of the resulting images. Two best friends - aren't they sweet?

New haircut

Being the slack mother that I am, I decided after 9 months that it was probably time to get the girls' hair cut. Isabelle only wanted a trim which still meant having a good 3" cut off. Zoe on the other hand decided to go for a completely new look and went from long hair to a bob. The bob really suits her so I was happy she decided she wanted to go that short again.

She's just afraid that no one at school is going to recognise her. Some how I don't think that will be a problem!

Mr. B - Sneak Peek

I had the pleasure of taking Mr. B's photo when he was just 6 months old along with his big sister A. It's amazing how quickly time flies and he's now almost 14 months old!

12 Days Old

This is a sneak peek of baby J. Isn't she just precious? She's the youngest of 4 and she looks so much like her older brother and sisters.

Do you think she was trying to tell me something?!? She was such a good girl & never made a fuss. Don't remember mine being this easy...

All I want for Easter is my 2 front teeth!

Ok, so I know the words to the song are, "All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth" but Easter is a lot closer and by Christmas she'll probably have those huge big teeth that all kids seem to get.

Finally the 2nd top tooth fell out and Isabelle actually pulled it out herself. What I can't get over is how such a little tooth, which fit perfectly in that slot, leaves behind a space that is 3x the size of the original tooth. Does the jaw just "expand" the moment the tooth comes out?

We're on the watch for more loose teeth and Zoe is desperate to have her first loose tooth. All in good time I keep telling her, all in good time. Said of course by the one with no patience for anything...

Early morning fun!

I had the pleasure of photographing these gorgeous siblings late last year. Anyone who knows me knows that I am not really a morning person and all of us were up bright and early for this shoot. As you can see it was well worth the early start!

This shot just melts my heart - I love the connection between them

Retail Therapy

I was in desperate need of some retail therapy the other day and having looked at my sad collection of sandals and thongs thought these would be the perfect addition. I was all set to go for the safe black or taupe when I really wanted the funky ones. In the end it was my husband who convinced me to get the red, not that there was much arm twisting...

Luckily for the girls, I won't be able to wear these with socks the way I did after I graduated from Uni in my Grateful Dead wannabe phase! And with the weather, I'll be able to wear them for most of the year.

Now for the next pair because you know a girl can never have too many pairs of shoes...

Big Brother and Sister

These 2 cuties are the big brother and big sister to little Miss S. Unfortunately she still wasn't well when I went to photograph the 3 kids. L & A and I still had a great time and they sure kept me on my toes racing from one point to another. If only my 2 girls were as cuddly with each other!

Look at that dimple!!

L. reminded me of Billy Elliott in this shot.

They were so good that I told them we could finish off with some fun stuff. L. had a great time seeing just how high he could jump and A. love standing in the sprinkler. Ssshhhh, don't tell the Council...

Little Trooper

Poor Miss S. was not feeling very well on the day we took her pictures. She was such a trooper though and even managed a few smiles before nodding off to sleep.
